Quick Review - Amore Pacific Verite UV Multi Cushion

Why hello there my pretties~
I bring forth a new review! Ok, this review has actually been a long time coming, but I've been so lazy this summer... wahhhh~
Cushions are all the rage over in Korea and I just couldn't help but to get my hands on one!
After doing my research, I settled on this one: the Amore Pacific Verite UV Multi Cushion.
I'll probably be getting more in the future, because let's just say, I am addicted~~ :'D

AMORE PACIFIC VERITE UV MULTI CUSHION (#23)

PRICE: $45.00 USD (15g with refill)
Yes, this is a more of a high end product. Amore Pacific is know for their more popular brands: Aritaum, Etude House, Hera, Iope, and many, many more~ It is a trusted brand. Since I do not live anywhere near Korea, I purchased mine from eBay. I'd say that 15g lasts me about 3-4 months.

When you get the product, there is a nice little cover over the foundation part to lock in the moisture so that it doesn't go dry. The beauty of cushion pacts are that they allow you to more easily carry around liquid foundations/ bb creams to touch up make-up throughout the day. Because I am so oily, being about to touch up is really important to me.

The product itself. You can see how porous the sponge/ cushion is. You can also move that cushion around to see the foundation you have at the bottom.

The air cushion. The addition of the added cushion (ie: cushion on cushion application when using the air cushion) you can easily control how much you are putting on your skin depending on the amount of pressure you are putting on the cushion. This type of cushion appears to be smoother and more porous than regular non-latex beauty sponges. Quite soft~ I really feel fancy when I'm using it~

APPLICATION: As shown on the blue sponge, this is more like a foundation than a BB cream. There is no gray cast to it, so it matches my typical yellow-tone Asian skin pretty well. When applying, please dab in quick, shallow motions over your skin to help the product adhere to your skin in a more natural manner. These types of products are meant to be layered up for more coverage; therefore, apply in thin layers. I'd say that this has a more of a light to medium, buildable coverage. No worries, though, because of the consistency, it is hard to look cake-y~ c: The finish is a natural glow, not too matte and not too dewy. Quite nice actually.

SCENT: Like most Korean beauty products, this one is heavily scented. Therefore, if your skin is more sensitive to these types of things, I would be vary of this product. The scent is definitely more classy and refined than sweet or floral.

PACKAGING: OMG. How cute is that packaging?! That rose gold packaging gets me every time~ I definitely feel special putting it on my face. The way make-up should make you feel~ Classy lady~! I'd really have to say that I do love this product. It consists mostly of a plastic enamel like rose gold color with a more metallic band going around the top edges of the lid. The same metallic color is used to emboss the name on the lid. So fancy~ But beyond that, as I said before, this is a really practical packaging that makes it easy to use on the go. The middle lid that holds the cushion also doubles as an air tight seal to keep the cushion moist over time. I have had this particular one for about 3 months now and the product still has the same consistency as when I first opened it.

CONCLUSION: I would have to give this product a 5 out of 5. I really do adore it~ It matches my spring/ summer skin to a "T." There is a definite brightening factor as well! Plus, it has a very high SPF of 50+ and PA+++. I believe that Korean products cannot say that they have an SPF over 50, so that is why it is 50+ instead of like 75 or something like that. Why though, I have no idea~ It is nice that is has broad spectrum sun protection, though (ie, protects against both UVA and UVB rays.) This makes it a perfect summer product for me. One downside, however, is that it does not last that long on me (about 4-5 hours before I have to touch up), but I do not mind because it gives off such a nice appearance. As I had mentioned before, dewy or moist skin is really in in Korea at the moment. These types of products do not tend to have the best lasting power. In addition to my added oiliness over the summer, things just do not like to stay on my skin, even with a primer. Whyyyyyy~ I am still in love, though.

I also noticed that they have released the Verite DX cushion... I need to get me some lol~

NOTE: One last final thing before I go, because of hygienic reasons, please be careful to keep your air cushion/ sponge clean! I have gone through many ways of cleaning and I have found this one to be the best. In addition to deep cleaning with your normal brush techniques as per usual, in order to maintain appearances, make-up wipes work amazingly~!!

You can definitely see that this sponge is well loved hehe~ For this technique, I just use my normal make-up wipes. It makes sense that these would work though no? They are made to break up make-up on your skin, so why not in your products as well. You don't have to worry about melting glue since there is no glue in makeup sponges too~ It also works well to spot clean your brushes! Just make sure that it dries thoroughly before each use.

Just rub the two together several times until you no longer see any foundation rubbing off onto the wipe. It is as simple as that. I find that when deep cleaning, it is really hard to get to the center of the sponge because it soaks up the foundation all the way to the center of the sponge and I don't want to make a mess of things. Because of this, you can see residual foundation still on the sponge after deep cleaning. That is why I came up with this technique. Try it and you'll love it too~

Thanks for reading, I hope this helped!
Sheepy out~ <3
